Creating Your Ideas Shortlist
You started this journey seeking the solution to what ails you, hoping to discover, career-wise, what to do next.
Taking time at the outset to conduct an in-depth exploration of your needs, dreams, and motivations provides a strong foundation for your reinvention. It also ensures that you’re able to evaluate every opportunity that comes your way using guidelines derived from your true desires and requirements, rather than untested assumptions.
There are four steps in the brainstorming process:
First… Come up with a vision for the lifestyle you want to lead.
Second… Come up with a list of possible jobs that can deliver that lifestyle.
Third… Understand your priorities.
Last… Create a shortlist of reinvention ideas to explore.
Doing the Work of Brainstorming
Watch the video for a quick overview, and take time to carefully read through and work the exercises.
I encourage you not to rush through this; investing the time to think deeply upfront will pay dividends on the back end of your reinvention.
One more thing: take the time to watch the next video in ‘Debunking the Most Common Myths Around Reinvention’. You want to clear those out before you start brainstorming!
